Envy Spray Tan Tips
Envy is happy to provide you with the tan you have always wanted with out the harmful effects from the sun. The process usually takes around 15 to 20 minutes from set up to finish. We provide a pop up tent so there is no mess and no hassle for you! Our solution is sugar cane based and the bronzing results can be seen immediately after the application. Your airbrush tan is sure to last between 7 and 10 days with proper after care.
Pre-Tan Tips:
- Shower and Exfoliate. Use a oil free body scrub to exfoliate your entire body before a tanning session. Also, try to shave or wax at least 8 hours before your session.
- Your skin should be clean and dry. Do not apply lotion the day of your appointment as some lotions may act as a barrier.
- Skin should be free of makeup and deoderant.
Post Tanning Tips:
- Do not shower for 6-8hrs after your tan. If you can sleep with the solution on overnight this will allow for your best color
- Wear loose fitting clothes after your session
- When you shower use body wash or liquid soap. Avoid bar soap. Do not exfoliate for the length of your tan
- Nothing on your skin until AFTER your first shower. (no lotion, makeup, moisturizer)
- After your first shower MOISTURIZE, MOISTURIZE, MOISTURIZE). The more you moisturize the longer the tan will last! Also this allows for even fading. Use a water based moisturizer.
- Do not sweat or go to the gym until after your first shower
Sunless tanning formulas used for airbrush tanning contain DHA (dihydroxyacetone). This substance, when applied to the skin, reacts with the amino acids in the top layer of your skin to produce a tan. This process is harmless and has the same effect on the skin as the sun, except it doesn’t come with the harmful and damaging effects of UVA and UVB rays. Airbrush tanning is FDA approved for cosmetic use, is safe for all types of skins and does not cause wrinkles or cancer.
